Aldine 'Bill' Gingerich

      WELLMAN - Aldine "Bill" Gingerich, 89, of Kalona, died Sunday, Aug. 21, 2005, at Pleasantview Home in Kalona, following a lengthy illness.

      Funeral services will begin at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 24, at West Union Mennonite Church near Parnell, with the Rev. David Boshart and Deacon Helen Yoder officiating. Burial will be in West Union Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 23, at Powell Funeral Home in Wellman, with family present from 2 to 4 in the afternoon and 6 to 8 in the evening. Memorials have been established for Mennonite Central Committee or Mennonite Mission Network.

      Mr. Gingerich was born Dec. 13, 1915, near Parnell to Christian and Mary (Zehr) Gingerich. He married Wilma Bender on June 20, 1937, near Parnell. She preceded him in death in 1998.
