Alejandro Neri Rodriguez, 60, of Conesville, Iowa, died Wednesday, Sept. 15, 2021, at the University of Iowa Hospitals following an extended illness.
Funeral services will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 21, 2021, at the Jones & Eden Funeral Home in Washington, Iowa, with Pastor Randy Bingham officiating. Calling hours will begin at 2 p.m. Monday, Sept. 20, 2021, at the Jones & Eden Funeral Home, where the family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday. Interment will take place in Mexico at a later date. A general memorial has been established. Online condolences may be sent for Alejandro's family through the web at www.jonesfh.com.
Alejandro was born Sept. 14, 1961, in Atlautla Edo, Mexico, the son of Alejandro and Bertha (Rodriguez) Neri Roldan. He attended school in Mexico.
Alejandro lived in Iowa for the past 25 years. He worked at West Liberty Foods in West Liberty, Iowa. He was a member of the Catholic Church and enjoyed hunting, fishing and taking care of his garden. He enjoyed going to the Burlington Flea Market.
He is survived by his daughter, Marisol Neri and her husband, Alberto Villanueva, of Conesville, Iowa; son, Jose Luis Neri and wife, Marisol, and their children, Yoselin, Ruben, Maximiliano and Yadelin of Brighton, Iowa; daughter, Bertha Neri and her son, Christopher, of Iowa City, Iowa; son, Alejandro Neri of Conesville, Iowa; father, Alejandro Neri Roldan of Atlautla Edo, Mexico; brother, Jose Neri Rodriguez of Columbus City, Iowa; sister, Yesenia Neri Rodriguez of Columbus City, Iowa; sister, Clara Neri Rodriguez of Atlautla Edo, Mexico; sister, Araceli Neri Rodriguez of Columbus City, Iowa; and brother, Gabriel Neri Rodriguez of Columbus City, Iowa.
Alejandro was preceded in death by his mother, Bertha Rodriguez; one brother and one sister.
