Alice Edgar

Alice Edgar, 94, of Washington, died Saturday, Jan. 15, 2005, at the United Presbyterian Home in Washington.

      The funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 19 at the United Church of Crawfordsville, with the Revs. Larry Fletcher and Nancy Oehler officiating. Burial will be in Crawfordsville Cemetery. Visitation will be from noon to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 18 at Jones Eden Funeral Home in Washington, with family present from 7 to 8:30 p.m. A memorial has been established to the United Church of Crawfordsville or the United Presbyterian Home.

Survivors include four daughters, Patricia Jenkins of Ainsworth, Nancy Wombacher of Iowa City, Linda Wheaton of Crawfordsville, and Ellen Waggoner of Washington; three sons, Hank and James Edgar, both of Crawfordsville, and Samuel Edgar of Higbee Mo.; 37 grandchildren, 59 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren; and a brother, William D. "Bill" Hotle of Rock Island, Ill.

      In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers and five sisters.
