Alice J. Krogmeier June 19, 1917 - November 8, 2005

      Alice Jane Krogmeier, 88, of Fort Madison Health Center, died at 9:33 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 8, 2005, at the health center.

      The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 11 at Sacred Heart Church, with the Rev. Thomas Parlette officiating. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 10 at King-Lynk Funeral Home in Fort Madison, where a rosary will be recited at 3 p.m., the family will be present from 6 to 8 p.m. and a wake service will be at 7 p.m. Memorials have been established to Lee County Hospice and Hope Haven.

      Survivors include two sons, Pat Krogmeier of Fort Madison, and Charles Krogmeier of Ankeny; three daughters, Sally Krogmeier of Danville, Mary Jo Watson of Iowa City and Rose Hoenig of LeClaire; 25 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Mary Anita Neet Sheridan of Primghar and Alma Baker of Arizona.

      In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, a son and a sister.
