Alice J. Whaley

      Alice Vera Lillian Johnson Whaley, 94, of the New London Nursing and Rehab Center, formerly of Mt. Pleasant, died at 6:30 a.m. on Sunday, March 2, 2003, at the care center.

      The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday, March 20, at Oakland Mills Community Church, with the Revs. Jim Hughes and Donald Messer officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Mills Cemetery. Visitation will be from noon to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Weir Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant, with the family present one hour prior to the services at the church. Memorials have been established for Oakland Mills Ladies Aid Society and Midwest Old Threshers Theater Museum in care of Don Whaley, 414 N. Broadway, Mt. Pleasant, or Margaret Molander, 2145 170th Ave., Mt. Pleasant.
