Alice Mary Goodwin

KALONA ? Alice Mary Goodwin, 89, of Kalona, died Thursday, July 22, 2010, in Pleasantview Home in Kalona.

    Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, July 31, at the Kalona United Methodist Church in Kalona with the Rev. Gerry Kahler officiating.  Burial will follow at the Wellman Public Cemetery in Wellman.  Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at the Peterseim Funeral Home in Kalona.  A memorial fund has been established for the Kalona United Methodist Church.

    Mrs. Goodwin was born Sept. 30, 1920, in Morse, the daughter of Frank and Clara (Svoboda) Malatek.  She married Arden Goodwin on Sept. 18, 1940, at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Iowa City.
