Alice Maureen Johnston

      KEOSAUQUA - Alice Maureen Johnston, 82, of rural Keosauqua, died Monday, Nov. 8, 2004, at her home.

      Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 12, at First Christian Church in Fairfield, with the Rev. Kurt Makower officiating. Burial will be in Lebanon Cemetery, west of Keosauqua. Visitation will begin at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 11, at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua, with the family present from 7 to 8 p.m. The family will also receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 12, at the church, prior to the service. Memorials may be directed to Bentonsport Historical Rose Garden, First Christian Church in Fairfield, or Keosauqua Public Library.

      Mrs. Johnston was born on Jan. 26, 1922, in Keota, to Warren W. and Mildred C. (Ruplinger) Carris. In 1941, she married Clark H. Johnston.
