Alice N. Brown

Alice N. Brown, 99, formerly of Douds, died Saturday, May 10, at the home of her daughter, Kathy Messer, in rural New London.

Visitation will begin at 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 13, at Pedrick Funeral Home in Douds, with family present from 5 to 7 p.m. A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 14, at Christ United Methodist Church in Douds, with the Revs. Jerry Caughron and Harold Harryman officiating. Burial will be in Zion Lutheran Cemetery east of Douds.

A memorial has been established for Christ United Methodist Church. Contributions may be left at the funeral home or mailed to 19657 Danville Road, New London, IA 52645.

She was born Oct. 12, 1908, in Ottumwa, the daughter of John and Edna Tanner Daniels. On Dec. 23, 1941, she married Earl W. Brown in Kansas City, Mo.
