Alice P. Steele

      Alice P. Steele, 89, formerly of Eldon, died Sunday, Feb. 15, 2009, at Parkview Care Center in Fairfield.

      A celebration of life service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Living Hope Bible Church in Eldon, with the Rev. David Albert officiating. Burial will be in Eldon Cemetery.

      Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday at Kremer Funeral Home in Eldon, with the family present beginning at 6 p.m.

      Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or American Diabetes Association.

      Mrs. Steele was born April 29, 1919, the daughter of Fred and Bertha Smith Woodard in Ottumwa. She married Francis Herbert Steele in September 1939 in Ottumwa. He died March 16, 1985.
