Alice R. Saforek
IOWA CITY - Alice R. Saforek, 85, of Iowa City, died Thursday, Dec. 23, 2004, at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City, following a brief illness.
Celebration of Life services were held this morning at Peterseim Funeral Home in Kalona. Burial was in Sharon Hill Cemetery in Kalona. A memorial has been established for the American Red Cross.
Mrs. Saforek was born on April 18, 1919, in Washington, to Charles C. and Eva Marie (Cocklin) Rothlisberger. On Sept. 28, 1940, she married Arden Saforek in Nashua.
