Alice Reschly Davis

      Alice Reschly Davis, 86, of Washington, died Friday, Feb. 20, 2009, at the United Presbyterian Home in Washington following a short illness.

      Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 23, at the Salem Welsh Presbyterian Church in rural Columbus Junction. Burial will be in Cambrian Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. Sunday at the Jones-Eden Funeral Home in Washington where the family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. Memorials may be directed to Salem Welsh Church or to Cambrian Cemetery.

      Mrs. Davis was born Jan. 15, 1923, on her family's farm south of Wayland, the daughter of Joseph and Anna Christina (Hunt) Reschly. She married Donald Lee Davis on Aug. 15, 1976, at his home north of Wyman.
