Alma Beachy

      KALONA - Alma Beachy, 85, of Kalona, died Wednesday, June 1, 2005, at Pleasantview Home in Kalona, following a brief illness.

      Celebration of Life services will begin at 10 a.m., Saturday, June 4, 2005, at Kalona Mennonite Church, with the Rev. Scott Swartzendruber and the Rev. David L. Yoder officiating. Burial will be in Sharon Hill Cemetery in Kalona. Visitation will be Friday, from 2 to 8 p.m., at Peterseim Funeral Home, where family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m., and 6 to 8 p.m. A memorial has been established for Iowa City Hospice.

      Mrs. Beachy was born March 7, 1920, in Hartville, Ohio, to David and Emma (Yoder) Slabach. She married Henry Beachy on March 8, 1941, in Middlebury, Ind.
