Alta May Bangert

      Alta May Bangert, 89 years, of Montrose, Iowa died at 7:52 pm Tuesday, July 17, 2007 at the Fort Madison Community Hospital, Fort Madison, Iowa.

      She was born September 15, 1917, in rural Montrose, Iowa to Lloyd Sylvester Harman and Cora Alta (Hamilton) Harman.

      On October 1, 1937 at Fort Madison, Iowa she married Harold Louis Bangert. Harold preceded her in death on August 26, 1977.

      By her request, there will be no visitation. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday July 21, 2007 at the Trinity United Methodist Church at Montrose. Reverend Goldie Laymon will officiate. Burial will be at the Montrose Cemetery, Montrose, Iowa. Friends are invited to join the family for a meal at the church following the cemetery services. Memorials have been established for the Montrose Library and the Trinity United Methodist Church, Montrose. Contributions may be made at the church the day of the service.
