Alta Otto Kauffman

Alta Otto Kauffman, 92, of Kalona died Sunday, Oct. 15, 2006 in her daughter's home near Kalona following complications from a fall a week earlier.

      Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 18 in the S. Duane Miller residence at 5336 Cosgrove Road. SW in rural Kalona. Bishop in charge is Elmer T. Miller. Visitation began at 1 p.m. today in the Ivan Borntrager residence at 5292 Cosgrove Road S.W. in rural Kalona and will continue all day Tuesday. The Yoder-Powell Funeral Home in Kalona is in charge of the arrangements.

      Mrs. Kauffman was born June 18, 1914 near Kalona, the daughter of Jonas and Lydia (Brenneman) Otto. She married Abe Kauffman on Dec. 17, 1936 near Kalona.
