Alva Gene Eshelman

      Alva Gene Eshelman, 76, of Lockridge, died Tuesday morning, Aug. 12, 2008, at Jefferson County Hospital in Fairfield.

      A funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at New Sweden Methodist Church north of Lockridge, with the Rev. Diane Brokken officiating. Burial will be in Hope Lutheran Cemetery near Germanville.

      Family visitation will be from 7-8:30 p.m. Thursday at Raymond Funeral Home in Fairfield.

      Memorials have been established to Lockridge Fire and Rescue and the new dialysis unit at Jefferson County Health Center.

      Mr. Eshelman was born May 25, 1932, in Germanville, the son of Roy James and Ila Burger Eshelman. He married Margaret Ann Vorhies Feb. 5, 1956.
