Alva Gene Eshelman

      FAIRFIELD - Alva Gene Eshelman, 76, of Lockridge, died Tuesday, Aug. 12, 2008, in the Jefferson County Hospital in Fairfield.

      Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 15, in the New Sweden Methodist Church north of Lockridge with the Rev. Diane Brokken officiating. Burial will be in Hope Lutheran Cemetery near Germanville. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday in the Raymond Funeral Home in Fairfield. Memorials may be made to the Lockridge Fire and Rescue or to the new dialysis unit at the Jefferson County Health Center.

      Mr. Eshelman was born May 25, 1932 in Germanville, the son of Roy James and Ila (Burger) Eshelman. He married Margaret Ann Vorhies on Feb. 5, 1956.
