Alvin Dean Graber

Alvin Dean Graber, 91, of Newton, Kan., formerly of Washington, died Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2008, in the Kansas Christian Home in Newton.

      Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 8 in the Bethel Mennonite Cemetery with Robert Hartzler officiating. Visitation will begin at noon Friday in the Beatty Funeral Home in Washington with the family receiving friends at 5 p.m. and a sharing service at 7 p.m. A general memorial fund has been established.

      Mr. Graber was born March 16, 1917, in Wayland, the son of John and Josephine (Roth) Graber. He married Elizabeth Amanda Alston on Dec. 21, 1941 in Wayland.
