Alvin George Sojka

Alvin George Sojka, 86, of Washington, died Monday, April 21, 2008, in the Washington County Hospital following a brief illness.

      Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, April 25, in the Jones-Eden Funeral Home in Washington with Dave Reha officiating. Interment with military honors conducted by Washington American Legion Post No. 29 will be in Elm Grove Cemetery. Visitation will begin at noon Thursday in the funeral home, where the family will receive friends from 3 to 7 p.m. Thursday. Memorials may be made to the Washington County Mini Bus.

      Mr. Sojka was born July 22, 1921, in Washington, the son of Yaro and Mable (Kos) Sojka. He married Darlene Marie Havel on Aug. 6, 1947, in Riverside.
