Amelia 'Millie' J. Bender
KALONA - Amelia "Millie" J. Bender, 73, of Kalona, died Wednesday, Feb. 19, 2003, at her home near Kalona, following a lengthy illness.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 22, at Lower Deer Creek Mennonite Church in rural Kalona, with the Rev. Donald Patterson officiating. Burial will be in Lower Deer Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday and after 9 a.m. Friday at Yoder-Powell Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Kalona. Memorials may be directed to the Lower Deer Creek Mennonite Church kitchen fund or Washington Township School.
