Amos S. Borkholder was born July, 8, 1968 in Bremen, Indiana, the son of Simon and Esther (Chupp) Borkholder. On October 19, 1995, Amos was united in marriage to Mary Sue Beachy. He was baptized in the Old Order Amish Church and remained a faithful member until his death on Thursday, December 19, 2018, at the age of 50 years.

Amos is survived by his wife Mary; 4 sons: Stephen, Marlin, Gerald and Marcus of Wellman, his parents, 6 brothers and 7 sisters: Laura (Marcus) Brenneman, Ruth (Joni) Miller all of Kalona, David (Miriam) Borkholder of Sigourney, Mary Esther (David) Ropp, Miriam Borkholder of Kalona, Rachel (Wilbur) Miller, Joseph (Laura) Borkholder of Hillsboro, WI, Eli (Edith) Borkholder, Daniel (Ida Anna) Borkholder of Kalona, Mahlon Borkholder of LaGrange, IN, Susan, Carolyn and Lavern Borkholder of Brighton.

Funeral Service will be held at 9:30 A.M. Sunday, December 23, 2018, at the Paul Beachy residence in rural Kalona. Burial will be in the Peter Miller Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 2:00 P.M. on Friday at the Paul Beachy residence and will continue all day on Saturday. The Yoder-Powell Funeral Home in Kalona is in charge of the arrangements.
