Andrew J. Dingman December 15, 1913 - December 25, 2003

Andrew Joseph Dingman, 90, of rural West Point, died at 8:47 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 25, 2003, at West Point Care Center.

      The funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 30 at St. James' Catholic Church in St. Paul, with Father Dennis Hoffman officiating. Burial will be in St. James' Cemetery in St. Paul. Visitation will begin after noon today with a rosary recited at 3 p.m. and a Christian Vigil Service at 7 p.m. at Link Funeral Home in West Point. Memorials have been established to Marquette Catholic Schools or to St. James Catholic Church.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Gerald and his wife Mira Dingman of New London, and David and his wife Linda Dingman of Fort Madison; three daughters, Carlene and her husband Jim Atwater of Fort Madison, Rose Ann Dingman of West Point, and Martha and her husband Jim Sanford of Donnellson; seven grandchildren and six stepgrandchildren; and four sisters, Adelaide Dingman of Mt. Pleasant, Barbara Kruse of Houghton, Bertha Witte of Salem and Pauline Fedler of West Point.

      He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Ernest and Adolph; and a grandson.
