OTTUMWA ? Andrew Dean ?Me Go? Sobaski, 34, of Ollie, died Wednesday, April 6, 2016, in the Keokuk County Health Center in Sigourney.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m., Tuesday, April 12, at Pekin High School Gymnasium with the Rev. Dar Eckley officiating. Burial will be in the Packwood Cemetery. Visitation with the family present will be from 4 to 7 p.m., Monday, April 11, at Grace Family Church, 24536 IA-78 in Ollie. The family requests memorials be made to Grace Family Church, Packwood Volunteer Fire Department, or to the family. Reece Funeral Home in Ottumwa is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Sobaski was born Oct. 16, 1981, in Fairfield, the son of Larry and Mary (Mosinski) Sobaski. He married Suzannah ?Suzi? Mefford on July 28, 2007.
He graduated from Pekin High School in 2000 and earned an associate degree from Kirkwood Community College in diesel mechanics. He had worked for Keokuk County Implement from 2002 to 2006. He then worked for Sinclair Tractor in Sigourney as service technician and then shop foreman, and at the time of his death he was the service manager. He was a member of Grace Family Church and was a volunteer with the Polk Packwood Volunteer Fire Department for the past 15 years.
Surviving are his wife, Suzi; two daughters, Charlotte, and Daphne Sobaski; his parents, of Packwood; his mother-in-law, Rose Anne Mefford of Cedar; his father-in-law, Jim Mefford of Ottumwa; one brother, Rick Sobaski and wife Emily of Packwood; one sister, Cindy Hall of Bondurant; three brothers-in-law, Mike Mefford of Hedrick, Chris Mefford and wife Emily of Vinton, and Colt Mefford and wife Nina of Hedrick; and nine nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Robert Sobaski, and Chester and Emilia Mosinski.
