Andy Slabaugh

      KALONA - Andy Slabaugh, 84, of Kalona, died Thursday, Sept. 4, 2008, in Pleasantview Home in Kalona following a lingering illness.

      Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 7, in the Fairview Mennonite Church in rural Kalona with the Rev. John L. Hershberger, the Rev. Perry Miller, the Rev. Elmer Miller and the Rev. John King officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Kalona. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Saturday in the Fairview Mennonite Church, where the family will be present from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Memorials may be made to the church.

      Mr. Slabaugh was born July 24, 1924, in Arthur, Ill., the son of Moses and Sarah (Hershberger) Slabaugh. He married Tillie Colbentz.
