Anna L. Jones, age 83, of Wellman, Iowa, passed away Sunday, November 10, 2024, at Parkview Manor in Wellman.

Celebration of life services will be held at a later date. Interment will take place at Lovely-Amburgey Cemetery in Jeffersonville, Kentucky. The Jones & Eden Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. Online condolences may be sent for Anna’s family at www.jonesfh.com.

Anna was born November 10, 1941, in Paris, Kentucky, the daughter of Raymond and Alva Lee (Humphries) Vice. She was raised in Kentucky before relocating to Iowa. In 1957, Anna married Ervin Elam, and the couple later separated. She remarried in 1992 to Bob Jones, though they also eventually separated.

Anna owned and operated a restaurant in Lone Tree, Iowa, which was named after her. She also worked as a bookkeeper for Elam’s Plumbing and served as a house mother for a fraternity at the University of Iowa for many years. Anna had a deep faith and was a captivating storyteller. She had a lifelong love of music, especially playing the piano and singing, and enjoyed attending bluegrass festivals. She also enjoyed cooking and baking. Above all, Anna cherished the time spent with her family.

She is survived by her granddaughter, Karrissa Parker, of Washington, Iowa; grandson, Michael Parker, of Columbia, Missouri; grandson, Bryan Graham, of Ames, Iowa; grandson, Jared Martins, of Clinton, Iowa; and granddaughter, Alysha Jenkins, of Fairfield, Iowa; along with ten great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandson and another on the way.

Anna was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ervin Elam in 1997; daughter, Jeana Morrison in 2014; two granddaughters, Charity Parker and Desaray Farnstrom; and many brothers and sisters.
