Anna P. Loper
Anna P. Loper, 91, of Janesville, Wisc., and formerly of Des Moines, died at Rock Haven Nursing Home on Friday, Oct. 13, 2000.
Graveside services were 1 p.m. today at Burlington Memorial Park with the Rev. Dennis Tevis officiating. Visitation was 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Oct. 16, at Overton Funeral Home in Janesville.
Mrs. Loper was born Aug. 8, 1909, in Camargo, Okla., the daughter of Orville and Nellie Neally. She married Orville P. Loper on March 31, 1932, in Athol, Kan. She graduated from Bethany College in Lindsburg, Kan., with a degree in music and an emphasis in piano, and later taught piano lessons. She was an avid collector of antiques and also had an interest in geneology. In 1960, she served as national president of Questors, a national antique collectors group. She moved to Janesville from Des Moines in 1986 to be near her son and family.
Survivors include a son, Don and June Loper of Janesville, four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a sister, Marie Diehl, and a brother, Harvey Neally.
