Anthony Ray 'Tony' Wagler

Anthony Ray "Tony" Wagler, 49, of Sperry, died at 8 a.m., Friday, Jan. 7, 2005, at his home.

      The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 11, at Lunning Chapel in Burlington, with the Rev. John Gaulke officiating. Burial will be in North Walker Cemetery. Visitation will be from noon to 8 p.m. today at the chapel, with family present from 6 to 8 p.m. A memorial has been established to his children's education.

Survivors include his former wife; a daughter, Cassie Wagler at home; a son, Miles Wagler at home; two brothers, Donald Wagler of Fairfield, and Mark Wagler of Fort Madison; and four sisters, Gladys Oberman of Burlington, Betty Wallman of Yarmouth, Linda Throckmorton of Keosauqua and Kathie Lloyd of New London.

      He was preceded in death by his parents, his stepfather and a brother.
