Ardith L. Ropp

      KALONA - Ardith L. Ropp, 80, of Kalona, died Wednesday, Jan. 4, 2006, at Pleasantview Home in Kalona, following a sudden illness.

      Celebration of Life services will begin at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 7, at Kalona Mennonite Church in Kalona, with the Rev. Scott Swartzendruber and the Rev. Mick Murray officiating. Burial will be in Sharon Hill Cemetery in Kalona. Visitation will be held Friday, Jan. 6, beginning at 7 a.m. at Peterseim Funeral Home in Kalona, where the family will be present from 1 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Memorials have been established for Kalona Mennonite Church or Kalona First Responders.

      Mrs. Ropp was born April 17, 1925, to Samuel and Cora (Brenneman) Hershberger in rural Kalona. She married Ernest "Ernie" Ropp on Dec. 15, 1946, in Kalona. He preceded her in death in 1994.
