Arlene Cale April 20, 1920 - October 6, 2005

Arlene Cale, 85, of Dallas City, Ill. formerly of Montrose died at 6:25 p.m. Thursday Oct. 6, 2005 at the Great River Medical Center in West Burlington.

      Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Sunday October 9, 2005 at the Hofbauer-Schmitz-Lynk Funeral Home in Donnellson. Burial will be in the Montrose Cemetery. Visitation will begin after 1 p.m. Saturday at the Hofbauer-Schmitz-Lynk Funeral Home in Donnellson with the family present from 5 to 7 p.m. A memorial has been established. Arlene's favorite color was red. The family asks that people wear red to the service and visitation in her honor.

Survivors include her husband; two daughters Marlene and her husband Galen Underwood of Cedar Rapids and Judy and her husband Michael Taylor of Plevna, Mo.; one son Terry and his wife Andrea Cale of Dallas City, Ill.; eight grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren; three stepsisters Rosie Coppage of Ft Madison, Mabel Sapp of Richmond Hill, Ga. and Helen Linkenfelter of Burlington.

      She was preceded in death by her parents, two grandchildren, two brothers, one stepsister, one step brother, and one half-brother.
