      Arlene Mary Schmitt, 72, of Washington died Monday, Sept. 18, 2006 at her residence following a brief illness.

      Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 21, at St. James Catholic Church, with Fr. Ed O'Melia officiating. Visitation will begin at noon Wednesday at the Jones-Eden Funeral Home in Washington, where the family will receive friends from 6 until 9 p.m. Wednesday evening. A Catholic Daughter Rosary will be held at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday with Prayer services at 8 p.m. at the Jones-Eden Funeral Home. Interment will take place at Elm Grove Cemetery in Washington.
