Arley Dean Boese

WAYLAND ? Arley Dean Boese, 79, of rural Richland, formerly of the Wayland area, died Thursday, Nov. 27, 2014, at his home.

Graveside services will be at 1 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 3, at the Sugar Creek Mennonite Cemetery with the Rev. Robert Hartzler officiating. Visitation will be two hours prior, at the Beatty Funeral Home in Wayland. A general memorial fund in the name of Arley Dean Boese has been established.

Mr. Boese was born June 30, 1935, in Wayland, the son of Albert and Anna (Steffen) Boese. He married Mary Gail Dankof on Aug. 14, 1965, in Hamburg. The couple later divorced.

He graduated from Wayland High School. He was a hard worker and farmer who loved animals.

Surviving are three children, Brent Boese of Strasburg, Colo., Sheila Boese of Rochester, Minn., and Brenda Boese of Iowa City; and one grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
