RICHLAND ? Armena Starr, 98, of Richland, died Friday, Dec. 11, 2015, in Keota Health Care Center in Keota.
Funeral services will be at noon, Tuesday, Dec. 15, at the Richland United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall with the Rev. Carl Benge and the Rev. Frosty Van Voorst officiating. Burial will be in Richland Friends Cemetery. Visitation and lunch will begin at 11 a.m., immediately preceding the service, Tuesday at the church. Memorials to Keokuk County Hospice or to the donor?s choice may be left at the church or mailed to the family at 30704 272nd Avenue, Ollie, IA 52576. Gould Funeral Home in Richland is in charge of the arrangements.
Mrs. Starr was born March 28, 1917, five miles northwest of Richland, the daughter of Jake and Margaret Kathryn (Koch) Baker. She married Leonard Starr on March 28, 1935, in Richland.
She attended country school at Greenwood No. 4. She was a farm wife.
Surviving are one daughter, Margaret Wonderlich and husband Bill of Ollie; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; special family member Kraig Deutsch; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, on Nov. 15, 1971; one son, Junior Starr; one great-grandson; four sisters, Marjorie Derby, Marguerite Baker, Edna in infancy, and Marie in infancy; and three brothers, John, Bernard, and Albert Baker.
