Arnold L. Nicholson

      MT. PLEASANT - Arnold L. Nicholson, 90, of Mt. Pleasant died Sunday, April 29, 2007 in Park Place Long Term Care Center in Mt. Pleasant.

      Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 2 in Finley United Methodist Church with the Rev. Hyeunmee Kang officiating. Friends may call after 2 p.m. today in the Beatty-Murphy Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant, where the family will be present from 6 to 8 p.m. Memorials may be made to the Finley United Methodist Church or to Great River Hospice.

      Mr. Nicholson was born April 11, 1917 in rural Ainsworth, the son of James L. and Sylvia Marie (Cook) Nicholson. He married Edith E. Steele on Oct. 14, 1937 in the Presbyterian Church in Muscatine.
