Arthur E. Brent

The Rev. Arthur Elias Brent, 94, of Mt. Pleasant, died Saturday, Nov. 22, at Henry County Health Center.

Visitation is being held from 3 to 9 p.m. today, Nov. 24, at Kimzey Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant, with family present from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 25 at First United Methodist Church in Mt. Pleasant, with the Rev. Herbert Shafer officiating. Burial will be at Forest Home Cemetery.

Memorials have been established for Iowa Wesleyan College and the Iowa Conference of the United Methodist Church, Board of Camps and Retreats.

He was born Oct. 25, 1914, in Crawfordsville, the son of Eugene and Lillie Mae Gabriel Brent. On Aug. 1, 1943, he married Doris Lucille Cornick at the Cornick family farm.
