Arthur E. Rommel

Arthur E. Rommel, 91, of Cedar Rapids, and formerly of Mt. Pleasant, passed away on Monday, Jan. 8, at St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids following a short illness.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Jan. 13, at 10:30 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church in Mt. Pleasant. Dr. Jerry Kelly and Elder Leroy Johnson will officiate the service. Burial will be in the Forest Home Cemetery with full military honors conducted by the Henry County Honor Guard. Friends may call after 3 p.m. on Friday at the Beatty-Murphy Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant, where the family will be present from 7-9 p.m. Memorials may be directed to the First Presbyterian Church or to the Rotary International in his memory.
