Arthur L. Thomas

Arthur Lloyd "Art" Thomas, 86, of Columbus Junction, died Friday, Nov. 2, at the Colonial Manor of Columbus Community.

A graveside service was held at 1:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 5, 2007, at the Cambrian Cemetery in rural Columbus Junction. Chaplain Donnita Payne Hostetler will officiate. Honts Funeral Home of Winfield is providing the care and arrangements.

A memorial fund has also been established.

Arthur was born May 6, 1921 at Cotter, the son of Edward and Catherine Arthur Thomas.

A graduate of Cotter School and the University of Iowa, Art was a member of the Cotter Presbyterian Church and enjoyed sports, drawing pictures, and doing crossword puzzles.

He is survived by three nieces, a great-nephew, two great-nieces, and several cousins.

His parents; a brother, Homer; and a sister-in-law, Marion, preceded him in death.
