Athlyn Shirley Beranek

      RIVERSIDE - Athlyn Shirley Beranek, 85, of Riverside died Wednesday, March 21, 2007 in the Washington County Hospital following a sudden illness.

      Celebration of Life services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, March 26 in the Jones-Eden Funeral Home in Washington with the Rev. Jim Beranek officiating. Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. Sunday in the funeral home where the family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. Interment will take place in the Riverside Public Cemetery in Riverside. Memorials may be made to the Washington Public Library or the Riverside First Responders.

      Mrs. Beranek was born April 21, 1921 in Aroostook County, Maine, the daughter of John and Josephine (Botten) Tarr. She married Hubert Joseph Beranek on Jan. 8, 1944 in Maine.
