Barbara Jean Melton

Barbara J. Melton, 77, of Fairfield, passed away Thursday, Sept. 11, 2008, at the Henry County Health Center in Mt. Pleasant. Following her wishes, her body will be cremated.

Friends may pay their condolences to the family from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, Sunday, September 14, 2008 at Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield.

Barbara Jean Melton was born May 14, 1931 in Fairfield, IA to Samuel and Vernie (Maring) Kitchen. She was united in marriage with Floyd E. Melton in Lancaster, MO on April 28, 1951 and they later divorced. They were the parents of three children: Linda, Sherry and Butch.
