Bedonna Lee Bachmann was born August 16, 1936 in Gilman City, Missouri, the daughter of Robert and Byda (Real) Gutshall. On November 30, 1957 she was united in marriage to Fred Bachmann in Gilman City, Missouri. They have lived in rural Kalona for the last 3 years. Bedonna passed away suddenly on Thursday, April 11, 2019 at the University of Iowa Hospital in Iowa City at the age of 82 years.

Bedonna is survived by her husband Fred of Kalona, 3 daughters: Karma (Joel) Brokaw of Kalona, Linda (Mike) Inlow of Moor Park, California, Brenda Bachmann Peterson of Hudson, Wisconsin; 12 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; and a sister Phyllis Appleby of Nashville, Tennessee.

Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 AM Monday, April 15, 2019 at the Lower Deer Creek Mennonite Church in rural Kalona. Burial will be in the Lower Deer Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 2-6 PM on Sunday, April 14, 2019 at the Yoder-Powell Funeral Home in Kalona.
