      Bernard B. "Bernie" Walker, 70, 1657 Old Highway 34, Mt. Pleasant, IA, died Wednesday, November 14, 2001, at the Loma Linda Community Hospital, Loma Linda, CA., following a short illness.

      A funeral service for Bernie Walker will be held at 10:30 A.M. Wednesday, November 21, 2001, at the Weir Funeral Home, 213 North Main Street, Mt. Pleasant. The Reverend Jim Hughes, Pastor, Oakland Mills Community Church, will officiate. Burial will be at 3:00 P.M. Wednesday at the Memorial Lawn Cemetery, Ottumwa, IA. Friends may call from 12 Noon to 9:00 P.M. Tuesday, Nov. 20, at the Weir Funeral Home. The family will be present to greet friends from 6-8 P.M.
