Bernard ?Bernie? August Schmidt
Bernard ?Bernie? August Schmidt, 67, of Washington, died Friday, Jan. 6, 2012, in the University of Iowa Hospitals following a lingering illness.
A celebration of life will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 10, at the Washington United Methodist Church with the Rev. Jim Stiles and the Rev. Troy Richmond officiating. Visitation will be from noon until 7 p.m. today at the Beatty Funeral Home in Washington, where the family will greet friends from 5 to 7 p.m. A memorial fund has been established for Four Oaks and Marr Park.
