Bernice B. Engle

      Bernice B. Engle, 98, of Washington died Tuesday, Dec. 19, 2006 in the Washington County Hospital following a lengthy illness. She was a patient at the M. L. McCreedy Home in Washington.

      Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 21 in the Jones-Eden Funeral Home in Washington with Larry Fletcher officiating. Visitation will begin at noon Wednesday in the funeral home where the family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Interment will be in the Elm Grove Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the M. L. McCreedy Home or the United Methodist Church of Washington.

      Mrs. Engle was born Aug. 3, 1908 in Scott County, the daughter of Fred and Roxanna (Mosier) Altenbernd. She married Edward H. Engle on March 29, 1927 in Washington County.
