Bernice D. Bennett
KEOTA - Bernice D. Bennett, 94, of Keota died Tuesday, Nov. 14, 2006 in the Washington County Hospital in Washington following a brief illness.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 17 in the Powell Funeral Home in Keota with the Rev. Sallie Graves officiating. Burial will be in the Keota Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Keota Q.R.S.
Mrs. Bennett was born June 20, 1912 in Keokuk County, the daughter of Charles and Christina (Saner) Derby. She married Warren K. Bennett on Sept. 14, 1942 in the National City Christian Church in Washington, D.C.
