Bernice Shuppy December 28, 1914 - December 20, 2003

Bernice Shuppy, 88, of Good Samaritan Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Ottumwa, died at 7:24 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 20, 2003.

      The funeral was held on Tuesday, Dec. 23 at Trinity Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Mathew Andersen officiating. Burial was in Lockridge Cemetery. A memorial has been established to Trinity Lutheran Church.

      Mrs. Shuppy was born on Dec. 28, 1914, near Germanville, the daughter of Frank and Effie Haisley Shuppy. She was a graduate of Lockridge High School and Iowa Wesleyan College. She taught at Agassiz Elementary and Washington Junior High School for more than 30 years. She was a resident of Ottumwa most of her life. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church..
