Berniece E. Carter

      Berniece E. Carter, 92, of Keosauqua, died at 8:13 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 27, 2007, at Van Buren Good Samaritan Center in Keosauqua.

      A memorial service will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua, with the Rev. Marvin Robeck officiating. The body has been cremated. Burial will be in Spencer Cemetery in rural Stockport.

      Family visitation will be from 12:30-1:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

      Memorials to Van Buren Good Samaritan Center may be left at the funeral home or mailed to the family at PO Box 571, Keosauqua 52565.

      Mrs. Carter was born July 10, 1915, in rural Stockport, the daughter of Olof and Betty Johnson Martin. She married Joe Carter, and they later divorced.
