Bertha Durst

WELLMAN ? Bertha Durst, 92, of Wellman, died Sunday, May 23, 2010, in the United Presbyterian Home in Washington.

    Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, May 27, at the Powell Funeral Home in Wellman with the Rev. Rich Pippert officiating.  Burial will be in the Wellman Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home where the family will greet friends from 6 to 8 p.m.  A memorial fund has been established for Asbury United Methodist Church, Hospice of Washington County and Wellman Senior Center.

    Mrs. Durst was born Dec. 12, 1917, in Wapello, the daughter of Harry and Abby (Genzler) Lewis.  She married John Durst Sr. on Sept. 27, 1940, in Kahoka, Mo.
