Bertha Elizabeth Minick

      Bertha Elizabeth Minick, 95, of Washington, died Friday, Nov. 2, 2007, in the United Presbyterian Home in Washington following a lengthy illness.

      A Mass of the Resurrection will be held at 9:30 a.m. Monday, Nov. 5, in the St. James Catholic Church with the Rev. Ed O'Melia officiating. Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. Sunday in the Jones-Eden Funeral Home in Washington where the family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Prayer services will be held at 6:30 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home. Interment will be in Elm Grove Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the St. James Church or St. James School.

      Mrs. Minick was born July 26, 1912, in East Pleasant Plain, the daughter of Joseph Francis and Emma Elizabeth (Kurtz) Benda. She married Raymond Leroy Minick on Jan. 22, 1935, in Washington.
