Beth A. Sandersfeld, 64, of Mount Pleasant passed away on Thursday, July 9, 2020, at her home.

Beth was born on May 24, 1956, in Muscatine, Iowa, the daughter of Ellwyn and Bernice (Beinke) Cole. She was united in marriage to C. Arlo Sandersfeld on June 21, 1975, in Wilton, Iowa. He preceded her in death on February 4, 2020. Beth worked for Mount Pleasant Community Schools and the Salem Elementary School for over 30 years. She was very active in the Salem Little League. Beth enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and gardening.

She is survived by her children, Kevin (Jessie) Sandersfeld of Mount Pleasant, Cary Sandersfeld of Ocheyden, Brian Sandersfeld of Spirit Lake and Denise Seivert of Hartley; her grandchildren, Asa, Brooke, Ahlee, Ethan, Blake, Justyn, Madison, Jayden and Jordyn; her sister, Saundra Cole of Wilton, Iowa; along with special family members, Scott and Karen Holmes, Eric and Kyle, Jake and Steph Maine, Kaedon, Kalen, Krue and Kinnick, Karen Beatty and Randy Cole.

Beth was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one son, Brett Michael Sandersfeld; and two brothers, Stan Cole and Bill Cole.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, July 18, 2020, at 11:30 a.m. at the Murphy Funeral Home in Mount Pleasant, with the Rev. Earl Swigart officiating. The family will receive friends from 9:00 a.m. until service time on Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Salem East Cemetery. A memorial has been established in her memory.
