Betty C. Schierbrock

Betty C. Schierbrock, 74, died 1:30 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 28, at University Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.

      The funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 30, at St. Mary?s Catholic Church in West Point with the Rev. David Wilkening officiating. Visitation will be after 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 29, at the Link Funeral Home in West Point with the family present after 6:30 p.m. The rosary will be recited at 3 p.m. Friday and the Christian vigil service will be 7:30 p.m. Friday, both at the Link Funeral Home. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in West Point. Memorials may be made to the Marquette Catholic Schools.

      Mrs. Schierbrock was born Oct. 27, 1925, at Mt. Pleasant, the daughter of Albert and Helene Walljasper Vonderhaar. She married Robert W. Schierbrock on Oct. 11, 1947, at St. Mary?s Catholic Church in West Point. She was a graduate of Mercy Hospital School of Nursing in Iowa City and was the retired director of nursing at the West Point Care Center.

      Survivors include her husband, two sons, Thomas R. Schierbrock of Council Bluffs and Robert W. Schierbrock, Jr., of West Point; a daughter, Cyndi Morgan of Parkersburg; a brother, Mel Vonderhaar of Denver; ten grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, a son Daniel, two sisters, Doris and Mary, and a grandson.
