Betty J. Irish

      Betty J. Irish, 80, of rural Keosauqua, died from metastatic cancer at 4 a.m. Friday, Feb. 13, 2009, at her daughter Connie Ripple's home in rural Keosauqua.

      A funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua, with the Rev. Jim Luder officiating. Burial will be in Center Chapel Cemetery southeast of Keosauqua.

      Visitation is from 2-5 p.m. today and beginning at 9 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, where the family will be present from 12:30-1:30 p.m. Tuesday.

      Memorials to Hospice of Central Iowa may be left at the funeral home or may be mailed to the family at 21874 Highway 2, Keosauqua 52565.

      Mrs. Irish was born April 16, 1928, in Sheffield, the daughter of Henry and Lena Walters. She married Ralph D. Irish Feb. 20, 1948, in Osage. He died March 12, 1993.
