Betty J. Sammons
Betty Jeanne Sammons, 78, of Blakely, Pa., formerly of Dover, Del., died Tuesday, Aug.30 in the AseraCare Hospice Unit at Mid-Valley Hospital in Peckville.
The Aug. 30 memorial service was at the Hedley W. Mason Funeral Home in Peckville, Pa. Memorial contributions may be sent to the Blakely Baptist Church, 201 Main St., Blakely, PA 18447; AseraCare Hospice IPU, 1400 Main St., Peckville, PA 18452; or the Betty Sammons Tournament, Iowa Wesleyan College, Mt. Pleasant, IA 52641.
Survivors include a sister, Mrs. A.E. Nicholls of Blakely; a brother, Harold T. Sammons, West Point, Calif.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
